Baltimore Skin Care - Obagi
Nuderm Skin Care Program
A medically supervised skin care program
Indications:
- Uneven skin tone.
- Large pores.
- Age spots and hyper pigmentation.
- Fine lines, wrinkles, and mild acne scars.
Intended Result:
- Diminished fine lines, wrinkles and acne scarring.
- Reduced age spots, pore size and hyper pigmentation.
- Smoother, even toned, more youthful, rejuvenated skin
Description:
- The Obagi system consists of a unique line of cleansers,
toners, and creams, available only through selected physicians'
offices. This medically supervised program is designed to complement
the benefits of Retin-A therapy. Exfoliating acids and skin bleaching
agents are combined with an exclusive ingredient to enhance the
performance of the active ingredients. Obagi products work on the
surface to correct damage, as well as penetrate below the surface of
the skin to stimulate proper cell renewal. This improves circulation
and helps to restore the skin's own natural moisture, elastin, and
youthful look.
Treatment Stages:
- Reaction Stage - Damaged top layer of skin is replaced
with a new layer of healthier cells during this initial correction and
stimulation period.
- Tolerance Stage - Significant improvements in the skin are revealed as the correction and stimulation continues.
- Corrected Stage - Skin is healthy and restored to a much more youthful appearance with the surface problems corrected.
Insurance Guidelines:
- The Obagi Nu-Derm system is considered cosmetic; therefore, it is not covered by insurance.
Additional Procedures:
- The Obagi Blue Peel may be performed after the initial 6 week adjustment phase is completed.
- Non surgical procedures may include BOTOX injections or injectale fillers.
