Indications:

Intended Result:
- To achieve softer, smoother, younger looking skin by eliminating dead skin cells found in the outer layer of skin.
- To stimulate the production of fresh skin cells and collagen.

Procedure Description:
- Aluminum oxide crystals are projected onto the skin in a safe
and uniform manner in order to exfoliate the top dead layers of skin.
These crystals, along with the dead skin cells, are vacuumed into a
filter container and then discarded.
- There is no sedation needed for this procedure.
Length of Procedure
- A power peel takes about ten to thirty minutes, depending on the aggressiveness of the peel.
Recovery & Aftercare:
- Patients may experience a pinkish hue that heals into a healthy glow within hours.
- Normal activities can be resumed immediately following a peel.
Insurance Guidelines:
- Power peels are deemed cosmetic in nature; therefore they are not covered by insurance.
Additional Procedures:
- The Obagi skin health and rejuvenation system and an Obagi Blue
Peel used in conjunction with a power peel will enhance, and maintain
the overall result.
