Baltimore Laser TreatmentsTime, gravity and the effects of sun take their toll on the appearance of our skin. Stress, nutrition and lifestyle are all factors that affect the skin's vitality and health. Laser treatments are a proven and effective way to reverse these effects. Among the many benefits:
About three weeks prior to your first treatment, we recommend you follow a specialized skin care routine to prep your skin for the laser. It’s also important that you stay out of the sun and stop using self-tanning products as tans can interfere with the laser treatment. In the weeks prior to and following your treatment, we recommend you wear a broad spectrum SPF of 30 or higher. Our licensed practitioners will perform a digital VISIA Complexion Analysis to find the right laser for your skin type. Different lasers offer different benefits and our team will help recommend the right one for you. All procedures are performed in the comfort of our office. Our lasers services have little to no down time; therefore, they are a convenient solution for those with active lifestyles. To maximize your laser treatment results, and prevent further damage, we recommend you continue with your specialized skin care regimen. Our aesthetic consultants can assist you with developing an appropriate skin care program. Sciton ProfractionalProfractional laser treatments reduces the signs of aging with minimal side effects and downtime. Profractional laser treatments are recommended to reduce wrinkles, fine lines, injury scars, acne scars, sun spots, age spots and freckles. The new technology uses laser technology to create thousands of microscopic channels in the skin that are surrounded by healthy, untreated skin which invigorates the body’s natural healing process to produce collagen to reduce wrinkles, scars and other irregularities. The face, neck, chest and hands are the most popular treatment areas for profractional laser treatment. Our surgeons perform this procedure in our fully certified surgical center. Healing time is minimal with approximately one to two days of downtime while the skin heals. The only side effect is a mild redness or sunburn appearance. PearlOur Pearl laser is one of our more aggressive treatments for improving skin texture and reducing discoloration. During the treatment, the top layer of skin is treated with pulses of energy, replacing the entire top sun-damaged layer of skin with new healthy skin. Simultaneously, it sends heat to deeper layers of the skin stimulating new collagen growth, filling out and minimizing fine lines, wrinkles and acne scarring. The combination of new skin and decreased wrinkles results in a healthier, more youthful appearance. Patients should expect approximately 4-5 days of social down time. Typically, only 1-2 treatments are necessary to renew your skin. TitanThe Titan treatment is a great non-surgical solution for people unhappy with their skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles. In addition to the face, Titan can be used effectively on the abdomen and arms. Titan utilizes a safe infrared light energy to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. The skin’s top surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan hand-piece. For optimal results, 2-3 treatments, spaced out over the course of several months, are generally recommended. Laser GenesisThe Laser Genesis is a wonderful solution for reducing pore size, wrinkles, and redness. It may also be effective for minimizing scars. The Genesis laser gently warms the upper dermis well below your skin’s surface, stimulating collagen regrowth. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness. Since treatment results are often subtle, you may require four to six treatments in order to achieve optimal results - every individual’s needs vary. IPLIPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is used primarily for the treatment of sun damage & age spots, including red or brown discoloration on the face, chest and hands. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light energy to heat the pigmentation, resulting in a more blended, even skin tone. For optimal results, four to six treatments spaced out over the course of several months, are generally recommended – individual needs will vary. Additional Procedures:Injectable fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane and Radiesse may be used in conjunction with Botox to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly brow furrows, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet. Insurance Guidelines:Laser treatments are deemed a cosmetic procedure and are therefore not covered by insurance.
