Mini Face Lift Baltimore – MACS-Lift Procedure
Not everyone needs a full facelift to look great. Because of the way people age and their anatomy, they can achieve optimal results with a MACS Lift. A MACS lift addresses the signs of aging including facial descent, jowling, and excess skin. It can be ideal for younger women and men who want to stay ahead of the aging process as well as people who have previously had a facelift and are showing signs of recurrent aging. A MACS lift can help to restore your youthful, natural appearance.
What is a MACS lift?
MACS lift stands for “Minimal Access Cranial Suspension” lift. It’s a less invasive surgical procedure than a full facelift and corrects jowling and sagging and descent around the face. The results provide a beautiful, more refined and natural appearance.
Who can benefit from a MACS lift?
A MACS lift can be the perfect treatment for patients who have started to notice jowling and sagging of the face that cannot be addressed non-surgically, but who really do not need a full facelift.
The benefits include:
- Shorter operation time than a full facelift
- A shorter recovery time than a full facelift
- Smaller and less incisions
- Natural, refined appearance
What’s a MACS lift surgery like?
Incisions are strategically placed along the hairline and in front of the ear, and the deeper structures of the face are gently lifted and repositioned, reversing gravitational signs of aging. Excess skin is removed to restore a firmer, more youthful facial contour. For optimal facial harmony, our surgeons frequently perform a MACS lift in conjunction with eyelid surgery, as well as fat grafting to add volume and laser resurfacing to enhance the skin’s texture and tone.
Your surgery will be performed at our fully accredited surgical facility, Bellona Surgery Center. Depending on the individual, a MACS lift can take from two to three hours, using general anesthesia. We work exclusively with board-certified anesthesiologists to ensure that your surgery is as safe as possible. After surgery, you will be able to rest in the comfort of your own home.
Recovery can vary depending upon the operative plan and your overall health and well being. It will be guided and supervised by your surgeon. You should expect a minimum of a week of downtime.
