We take a great interest in giving back to the communities that we serve. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation![]() We are proud to support the amazing, effective work of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and young adults in the United States. The mission of the CF Foundation is ensure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. Due to the hard work of the Foundation, the median age of a CF patient has doubled in the last 25 years, more than 44% of people with CF are 18 years or older, and all people with CF have a better chance for longer life and improved health. However, there is presently no cure. On Friday, October 10, The Larry and Lori Lickstein foundation shattered the image of a traditional fundraiser with their progressive, arts driven event benefiting the distinct needs of Maryland breast cancer patients. On October 29th, the Friends in Red gathered to support and celebrate the achievements of the Johns Hopkins Center for Inherited Heart Disease and the HYPE Program. The event was held in the newly expanded Shoffer’s Furniture location in Federal Hill, where guests enjoyed fabulous fare while viewing art, unique gifts and auction items. SPOTLIGHT - Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School Scholarship Fund
SPOTLIGHT is one of the largest netting fundraising events in the Baltimore area. All proceeds from the event benefit the Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition assistance for over 30% of the current student body. National Gaucher Foundation

The BRA-VO! Benefit Event - An Uplifting Event Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness
2007 - Local Plastic Surgeon Asked to be the Medical Expert for the Annual Fundraiser to Benefit Breast Cancer Survivors The Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland and Skin Beautiful Medi Spa continued their generous support of breast cancer awareness and research this fall. For the second consecutive year, the practice continued to be involved as a supporter of the LifeBridge Health ’s braVo! event.In October of 2007, the fundraiser presented an exhibition of handcrafted artwork using women’s bras as canvases, which were displayed for live and private auctions. Proceeds benefit patients at Northwest Hospital Center and Sinai Hospital who cannot afford the supplemental services often associated with breast cancer, which are not covered by insurance. Dr. Cohen’s and Dr. Lickstein's strong commitment topromoting breast cancer awareness was evidenced last year by their support of theevent in purchasing nine of the featured bras. Bettye Leibowitz, from the ArtConnection, was commissioned to design the layout and display of the bras. Inaddition to sponsoring the event on behalf of The Cosmetic Surgery Centerof Maryland and Skin Beautiful Medi Spa, Dr. Cohen played an integral rolein the success of the braVo event,serving as a medical expert. 2006 - Rudy Miller and the gang from LifeBridge Health held their first braVo exhibit and auction Oct. 25 at The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. More than 700 supporters participated with the proceeds supporting breast cancer awareness. Also benefiting from this worthwhile event are the patients at the Alvin & Lois Lapidus Cancer Institute at Sinai Hospital and the Herman and Walter Samuelson Breast Care Center at Northwest Hospital. Ninety-eight brassieres were creatively hand-decorated by local designers, celebs and artists and were auctioned through both live and silent venues. Former Ravens Super Bowl players Kyle Richardson and Mike McCrary and their wives were in attendance, showing their appreciation for the "uplifting" artwork and their dedication to a great cause. The Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland and Skin Beautiful Medi Spa were contributors to the event and were in attendance at the occasion, purchasing nine of the hand-decorated bras. The Cosmetic Surgery Center of Maryland and Skin Beautiful Medi Spa are proud to support the Mildred Mindell Cancer Foundation, which raises funds to fight cancer, as well as for patient aid, research, rehabilitation, and education. In its 45 year history, the Mildred Mindell Cancer Foundation has contributed more than $2.5 million in the Baltimore area towards education, research, rehabilitation, and treatment of cancer.

Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The dinner was held at Charleston on Sunday, October 8, 2006.A multi course menu created by Chef Wolf complimented by extraordinary wine pairings selected by Tony Foreman from the Charleston cellar will be served. Tickets for this event are $500 per person. Chef Wolf, Tony Foreman and everyone at Charleston , donate 100% of their time as well as the food, wine and use of the restaurant.
