A variety of factors influence a patient’s decision to visit a plastic surgeon for facial rejuvenation. Many patients I see fall into one of the following categories:

1) Patients whose looks don’t match their attitude. These are older people who still feel young and vital, but physically look aged. They may have lines and wrinkles, sagging cheeks, eyes and necks, age spots and poor skin tone. Our goal is to align how they look with how they feel through facelifts, brow lifts, eyelid surgery and laser treatments. I remember one particular patient who was beautiful and very active. She played tennis and enjoyed hiking, but was unhappy because she looked older than many of her friends. After surgery she felt much better about herself. Over time, thanks to the subtle changes we have made, they continue to look natural, but appear to be aging more slowly than their contemporaries. Treatments and preventative solutions such as Botox and fillers, chemical peels and laser treatments, and simple surgical corrections preserve their youthful appearance.
